It Started With a Camera

When I was about 9 years old, I picked up a camera. I haven't really put it down since. Even before I understood what filmmaking was, I was obsessed with how cameras worked — how they could capture something real and make it feel bigger than it is.

In 5th grade, my friends and I made our first film: Paralysis — a horror short about a girl whose sleep paralysis demon turns out to be real. No script, no plan, no idea what we were doing. It was the most fun I'd ever had.

Learning to Actually Make Films

After editing Paralysis in Clipchamp — yes, Clipchamp — I realized I wanted to keep going. I kept making films with my next-door neighbor, most of which never even made it to a computer. That was fine. It was about the process.

As I got better, I started caring more about the craft — the light, the frame, the edit. I switched to Adobe Premiere Pro and started thinking like a cinematographer, not just someone who points a camera and hopes for the best.

AVPA & Sony Studios

Now I'm a freshman in the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) at Culver City High School — part of a program that operates on the Sony Studios lot. It's opened up a completely different level of resources, mentorship, and creative collaboration.

I'm working on Sony-connected projects and sharpening everything: composition, lighting, color, editing pacing. Every film I make now is a step toward the kind of work I want to be doing professionally.

Happy Place & What's Next

My most recent film, Happy Place, is an official submission to the UCLA Open Mind Film Festival (April 2026). It's a film about teen mental health — something I care deeply about — and represents the most intentional, craft-focused work I've done so far.

I'm available to collaborate on projects in and around Culver City and greater LA. Whether you need a DP, an editor, or someone who can handle both — let's talk.

Roles & Skills

Cinematography

Lighting, composition, camera movement. I shoot primarily on Sony — the ZV-E10 is my go-to.

Directing

Story-driven direction with a focus on performance and visual language. I write, plan, and execute.

Editing

Adobe Premiere Pro. I cut for rhythm and emotion, not just continuity. Pacing is everything.

Writing

Scripts, treatments, and story development. I write the films I want to make, and make the films I write.
