I picked up a camera
and never put it down.
Cinematographer, director and editor based in Culver City, California. I’m fifteen. I make films about mental health, emotion, and the quiet moments people miss.
It started with a camera
When I was about nine I picked up a camera, and I haven’t really put it down since. Before I understood what filmmaking even was, I was obsessed with how cameras worked — how they could catch something real and make it feel bigger than it is.
In 5th grade my friends and I made our first film, Paralysis: a horror short about a girl whose sleep paralysis demon turns out to be real. No script, no plan, no idea what we were doing. It was the most fun I’d ever had.
Learning to actually make films
I cut Paralysis in Clipchamp — yes, Clipchamp — and realised I wanted to keep going. I kept making films with my next-door neighbour, most of which never made it onto a computer. That was fine. It was about the process.
As I got better I started caring about the craft: the light, the frame, the edit. I moved to Premiere Pro and started thinking like a cinematographer instead of someone pointing a camera and hoping.
AVPA & Sony Studios
Now I’m a sophomore in the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts at Culver City High School, a program sponsored by Sony Pictures. It opened up a completely different level of resources, mentorship and creative collaboration.
I’ve worked on Sony-connected projects, and every film I make now is a step toward the kind of work I want to be doing professionally.
Happy Place & what’s next
My most recent film, Happy Place, screened at Indie Film Los Angeles as an Official Selection and won Best Screenplay at the Reale Film Festival, both in 2026. It’s about teen mental health — something I care deeply about — and it’s the most intentional, craft-focused work I’ve done so far.
Two more films are in production through the Sony program. After that, more of everything.
What I do
Roles & skills
Cinematography
Lighting, composition, camera movement. I shoot primarily on Sony — the A7 III is my own, and the FX3 and FX30 when I can get them through AVPA.
Directing
Story-driven direction focused on performance and visual language. I plan it, then I execute it.
Editing
DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and After Effects. I cut for rhythm and emotion, not just continuity. Pacing is everything.
Writing
Scripts, treatments and story development. I write the films I want to make, and make the films I write.
